Where is Serampore and what is it famous for?
Serampore was known for its excellent educational institutions, including the Serampore College, founded by William Carey. It was also Bengal’s first college university. From 1755 to 1845, it was known as Frederiksnagore, and it was the only town colonized by the Danish.
